Data Entry

Data can be entered for any asset (opcost, capital, land etc) via either the network tab (Data Menu or Data URL links).  Data can also be entered via the Data Tab:

Connecting Assets

An Asset Network is connected together by pipelines that allows products and the data associated with that product (production, revenue, opcosts, capital, etc) to 'flow' to another asset in the network.

Pipelines can limit what products are allowed to flow through them and can have capacity limitations (volumetric model) as well as length, diameter and maximum operating pressure (hydraulic model).

A pipeline is associated with the upstream asset in the connection, and it flows to a downstream asset.

An asset can have multiples pipelines flowing out of it, but a circular pipeline configuration (closed loop) is not permitted in WellSpring.

Additional pipeline information is available through the Pipeline data for an asset, accessed either through the Data Links in the Network tab or through the Pipeline section in the Data tab. This information includes pipeline configuration changing over time and pipeline priorities to manage split flow.
