WellSpring allows you to enter or display unit systems in either Imperial or Metric. You can also enter or display in Normal or large units. See Units
WellSpring has a standard set of unit conversions to convert between imperial and metric units (metric is the default). These conversions are pre-defined in the database for each company, but can also be edited by the administrator.
To open the unit definition editor, select "units" from the "Admin" menu. The unit editor screen will appear:
The conversion factors for Imperial can be edited directly in the grid. for Example, to convert m3 to Bbl, multiply the metric unit by 6.28994 (for Small and Medium). For large units, multiply by 0.00628994. Internally, WellSpring uses Metric units for all of its calculations.
Unit labels can also be changed by editing the appropriate unit string text.
*Note: Alternate and Small units are currently not being used.
