 Specifying a Constraint

To specify a constraint in your network: (in this example we will enter a 5,000 mcf/d gas limit at the plant)

  1. Select the facility to be constrained
  2. Choose "Constraints" from the sub menu

Enter the constraint, the effective date of the constraint, and the product that it applies to.  Multiple constraints can be entered for multiple products at a facility.  For example, you might have a gas constraint along with either a sulfur and or water capacity constraint.  You should limit the constraints to those that will actually impact your production.  Unnecessary constraints will increase your calculation time.
