 Moving Assets in time

Once an asset has been created, there are multiple ways to move it in time.  When you enter the data in a given month, you can think of these entries as "month 1", "month 2" etc, because as the asset is moved all of the data is shifted with it.

Moving Entire Project

The entire project can be moved by changing the "Project" Settings.  To edit project settings select the project in the hierarchy on the data tab, then edit "General Data": See General Data / Project Data from the data entry section.

If the project start date is moved, all of the project data is shifted to the new date.

*Important - any time the start date is changed, the project should be saved and reloaded to allow the other dates to shift.

Note: The start month for a project is always January and can not be changed.  If you change the project year from 2009, to 2010 you are actually shifting from January 2009 to January 2010.

Individual assets can be moved by selecting the asset, and Selecting "General Data".  See General Data for Assets in the data entry section.

At the asset level you have finer control, as you can move the month as well as the year.

Other methods of shifting Data in Time

WellSpring has another method of shifting well and asset data using Activity Scheduler.
