Introduction
WellSpring allows you to have multiple views of your project - that is the dimension of "Scenario". A Scenario is simply a copy of your project. This copy can be either completely independent, or it can have shared elements such as facilities, wells and pipelines.
Scenarios are very powerful versions of your project which can be used for decision making comparisons such as:
- Compression Vs no-compression
- Compression sizing
- Number of wells
- Line looping
- Plant capacity
A scenario is like an independent project; however, it shares many elements of the existing project such as:
- The model
- The project settings (See General Data / Project Data)
The scenario can also optionally share many items such as:
To create a new scenario, begin by making a copy of your existing "base" Scenario:
This copy creates an identical project within your project. By default, all of the wells and facilities are "Shared"
