Selecting Price Files for a Project

When a new project is created, the price files will be linked from the scenario, and will default to what is specified in the "Tools - Options".  Refer to Default options to change the price default.

To change the price linkage within a project:

  1. Select the scenario from the Data tab
  2. Click "Edit" or "Base Price File" to bring up the prices dialog

From the prices dialog, you can click on the drop-down dialog to change the linkage to another pre-existing price file.  To edit or change a price file see Editing Price Sets.

You can also add price adjustments from this dialog.  A price adjustment is added to the base price file.  You can check the "Percent Offset" check-box if you want to specify the price adjustment as a percentage instead of a scalar.

To view the existing price record, click on the "Base Price Record" URL link, and a read-only view of the prices will be displayed:

To over-ride prices at the scenario, or to create a model with different prices at different nodes, you must create "Sales Points" in your model.  See Speciying a Sales Point for more information.
