 Time Series Administration

Time series data is used to enter user-defined array based data in an asset.  Time series can be either monthly OR yearly; you must choose which one you want when you create a variable, and you can't change it later. To enter and work with time series data see User Data - Time series Arrays.

Array Length

After an array is created, its length can be changed (it defaults to the current "Calculation Time" setting, and can be changed at time of creation)   If an array is ever shortened by changing the definition, the data will be lost via truncation.

Creating Time Series definitions

In the below image, the light blue background indicates that variable has just been created.

The data entry popup for user data will then have a tab strip at the top with tabs "Scalars", "Monthly", "Yearly", and one tab per user data table defined. All monthly or yearly array user data entries for an asset are grouped together in a single grid for editing.

The grid will have enough rows to edit data for the longest array - shorter arrays will have blank, non-editable, cells for dates beyond their defined length.  The original length defaults according to your calculation time (See Array length above).  Subsequent shorter calculation times will not truncate any data - it will just be ignored.
