What is a Well?

A well is a source node in the network.  Product flows from the wells to other nodes.   A WellSpring well can be used to model a completion, a single well, or a group well.  A well’s forecast can be defined using decline formulas, from a best fit of historic data, or can be imported from 3rd party systems such as OFM or reservoir simulators.

Historic data can be imported into WellSpring from any public or private data supplier through a production history import.  This data must be provided in a MER format file, which is a formatted comma  separated file format.
