A well is a source node in the network.  Product flows from the wells to other nodes.   A WellSpring well can be used to model a completion, a single well, or a group well.  A well’s forecast can be defined using decline formulas, from a best fit of historic data, or can be imported from 3^rd party systems such as OFM or reservoir simulators.

Historic data can be imported into WellSpring from any public or private data supplier through a production history import.  This data must be provided in a MER format file, which is a formatted comma  separated file format.
