Web Application Software Developer

As a growing, successful, and challenging Oil and Gas Software company we are currently looking to expand our team of Software Professionals at our Calgary Headquarters. This position requires someone with exceptional talent for modern web application development in C# and ASP.Net 4.0, with the energy and skills to make our company succeed. 

Our main application is a cloud based ASP.Net application that provides an enterprise level of functionality and reliability to some of the most prominent Oil and Gas companies around the world.

 

Apply today if you have significant knowledge of one or more of:

 

- C# and ASP.Net  (this one is pretty close to mandatory)

- JavaScript integration with server side data models

- AJAX style web interface design

- XML and related technologies

- Real life examples of code you have written in the above technologies for any purpose (personal or business)

- An can-do attitude to software development, and a willingness to adapt the needs of the business on a day to day basis

- Proven ability to rapidly and accurately understand new technology and apply it to our product

- A solid understanding of object oriented analysis, design and programming

- An ability to be part of a focused team and interact and communicate with business professionals

- Knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry is an asset

- Knowledge of Economics, Linear/Non Linear Optimization, Risk and Sensitivity Analysis, Resource - Scheduling, Cloud based computing, Regression and Unit Testing, Windows Server Management, - - Windows Azure are all applicable to the application

- The ability to work in Calgary without the need for relocation costs

 

The Job will grow with your skills as part of a small and very experienced software development team. Initial hiring will in general be for a 6 month contract period, with a full time extension possible if it is working out for both parties.
